C & D Commission

It shall be the responsibility of the 2 members of the Compliance and Discipline Commission, to evaluate, revise and review the enforcement of the rules, Laws and standards of conduct as well as the spirit of fair play in the SRSL. It is the intent of the C&D Commission to ensure the compliance of our members, parents, coaches, players and spectators to the code of ethics as defined by the SRSL Board. The C&D Commissioners will also address issues involving the interests of the SRSL, make recommendations to the SRSL Board, on suggestions for initiatives for the SRSL that may require the attention of the SRSL Board. The C&D Commission shall deal with all protests, as they pertain to the rules and regulations of the SRSL. The referee’s judgment as to the plays of the match and the authority granted by the Laws of the Game (as noted in the Laws of Soccer - FIFA) shall not be challenged, or open to protest. His (her) decisions for the course of the game can not be appealed.

The following acts, although not all inclusive, are deeds that the Commission may review or elect to address:

  1. Any incident, such as fighting, or foul and abusive behavior.
  2. Penalty (red) card, game ejection
  3. Compliance with SRSL rules or requirements
  4. Advising, notifying coaches and others of rule changes as affecting SRSL teams.
  5. Provide recommendations concerning the acceptance of new teams.
  6. Supervise and make recommendations for acceptance of coaches and communities as required by the SRSL Board.
  7. Define and outline coach's responsibilities - (penalty reporting, notification of visiting coaches, reporting scores, etc.)
  8. Reporting violations as appropriate, by coaches or referees
  9. The review and disposition of petitions from interested parties.
  10. Intercession in team or inter-city disputes, i.e. scores, forfeits, etc.
  11. The C&D Commission may recommend to the SRSL Board that any person team, member, or league be requested to leave the SRSL and or be relieved of their duties or responsibilities for failure to follow or comply with the regulations of the SRSL.

The C&D Commission has the authority and reserves the right to review and take action to discipline a member, even when the referee chooses not to take action. The C & D Commission reserves the right to review, censure or not to censure any member for compliance to the rules of the SRSL.
